How do I get started with TenderWriter AI?
▼
Getting started is free and takes about 5 minutes. Click Sign Up on the homepage, create your account, and you'll be taken straight into the app. No credit card needed. Your first step is to fill in your Company Profile (capabilities, past projects, team bios) — the more you add, the better your AI drafts will be. Then create your first Opportunity and start generating proposals.
How does the AI proposal generation work?
▼
When you create a proposal, you paste in the tender document, RFP, or ITT text. TenderWriter's AI reads this document, identifies the key requirements and evaluation criteria, and generates a structured response — one section at a time. Each section is drafted based on the specific question, your company profile information, and anything you've stored in your Content Library. You can then edit each section in the built-in editor, or regenerate any section you're not happy with.
What should I add to my Company Profile?
▼
The more context you give TenderWriter, the better your proposals will be. We recommend adding: Capabilities (your key service offerings and technical expertise), Past Projects (3–5 relevant case studies with client names, scope, and outcomes), Team Bios (key personnel for the types of bids you submit), Certifications (ISO accreditations, trade body memberships), and Boilerplate (your standard mission statement, approach descriptions, etc.). Think of it as your bid library brain.
How do I export my proposal as a PDF?
▼
Open your proposal in the editor, then click the ⬇ Export PDF button in the top toolbar. Your proposal will be exported using your brand colours, logo, and the PDF template you've selected in Branding Settings. There are four templates: Modern, Classic, Minimal, and Bold. You can customise your firm name and accent colour in Settings → Branding.
What is the Content Library and how do I use it?
▼
The Content Library has three sections: Answers (approved Q&A pairs you reuse across bids), Documents (certificates, policies, and files you attach to submissions), and Past Proposals (submitted proposals for reference). When writing a proposal, click the 📚 button in any section to search your library for relevant answers. You can also attach documents from your library to any proposal in the Submission tab.
How does the compliance matrix work?
▼
The compliance matrix is automatically generated when you process a tender document. TenderWriter extracts each mandatory and optional requirement from the tender and creates a checklist. As you complete sections, the matrix updates to show which requirements are addressed. Use the Extract Requirements button in the Compliance tab inside your proposal. It's an excellent pre-submission check to ensure you haven't missed anything evaluators will score you on.
Where can I see my past submitted proposals?
▼
All submitted, won, lost, and revised proposals are saved in the Content Library → Past Proposals tab. You can search by proposal title or customer name. Clicking a past proposal takes you back to the opportunity for reference. This is especially useful when bidding for similar work — you can reference your previous winning responses as a starting point.
What do the different plans include?
▼
Free: 1 AI-generated proposal (one-time), all core features, no monthly reset.
How do I cancel my subscription?
▼
You can cancel at any time from Settings → Billing & Plan. Click the Manage Subscription button which will take you to the Stripe billing portal where you can cancel. Your plan stays active until the end of the billing period — we don't charge you again after that. We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on all paid plans.
What happens when I run out of proposal credits?
▼
On paid plans (Starter, Pro, Agency), your proposal credits reset at the start of each billing month. If you run out mid-month, you can upgrade to a higher plan for more monthly credits, or wait for your next reset. You can always view your remaining credits in the Billing & Plan section. Unused credits don't carry over between months.
Is my tender data kept private and secure?
▼
Yes. Your data is stored securely and is never shared with other users or used to train AI models. Each user account is completely isolated. Tender documents you paste in are sent to our AI provider only to generate your response and are not retained. See our
Privacy Policy for full details on how we handle your data.
How do I add team members to an opportunity?
▼
Open the opportunity, go to the Team Members tab, and click Add Member. Enter their email address — if they already have a TenderWriter account, they'll be added instantly. If not, they can sign up and the connection will be made. Team members on an opportunity can view and edit all proposals within that opportunity. Team collaboration is available on the Pro and Agency plans.
Can I export or delete my data?
▼
You can export your opportunities as a CSV at any time from the Opportunities page using the
⬇ Export CSV button. Individual proposals can be exported as PDFs. If you'd like a full data export or wish to delete your account entirely, please
submit a support ticket and we'll process your request within 5 business days in accordance with our privacy policy.
